Heat Loss Replacement

Heat Loss replacement is a method, using electric heating cables, to compensate for heat losses over an exposed living space.

These applications can be found in commercial and residential buildings, as well as homes.

Most commonly, this method is used on towers, where there is a living space above, with an exposed concrete floor below.

The heating cable is secured to the underside of the concrete slab, and insulation is installed underneath the cables.

This ensures that the occupied space above, does not feel the cold.

Both MI and SR cables can be applied to this application. Please contact us with your specific details, and we can design an appropriate heat loss replacement system for you.

(if you are looking for comfort floor heating, please refer to our section “Interior Floor Warming”).
